Occidental Chemical Corporation’s Tacoma cleanup site is located in the Tacoma tide flats, along the Hylebos Waterway. Contamination from this site is in the groundwater and soil. The contaminants that are of most concern are chlorinated volatile organic compounds (CVOCs).
